Bhajan & Kirtan course

We are delighted to offer the first course to learn the basics of Kirtan and Bhajan!
We will focus on the 3 main tools:
-kartal (cymbals)
-mridanga (percussion)
-harmonium (portable organ)

Each appointment will have a session for musical instrument + 1 session of kirtan theory (history and principles of kirtan, kirtan meditation, what is appropriate and what is not and so on …).

Learning the principles of kirtan and the basis of the tools is suitable for EVERYONE and no previous experience is required.

The course will be facilitated by Deepesh and Gopi Sundari.

Deepesh, born in India but an Italian citizen for many years, studies and practices kirtan daily with great passion and enthusiasm. He often travels to participate in various kirtan festivals in Italy and to play and sing with other artists. Deepesh has a profound and sincere predisposition to this practice and her sympathy, patience and sweetness will win you over.

Gopi Sundari has been a kirtan supporter for many years, in the last 5 years she has organized the largest kirtan festival in Italy, Sravanam Kirtanam, and traveled around the world to be in the company of very experienced kirtan artists and spiritual masters to learn more this very powerful practice in its theory and practice. After successfully completing the two-month kirtan course in Radhadesh (Belgium), he has the great desire, firsthand, to spread the culture of kirtan in Italy.

Serena Di Franco graduated from the University of Florence in Philosophy and graduated at the Arrigo Pedrollo Conservatory of Vicenza at the Conservatory of Vicenza in three years in “Non-European Traditional Music with an indological focus”. She attended the Venice Film Festival as an artist. He currently continues to study and teach throughout Italy.
